Video: “World is ‘Going to Hell'” Spy Chiefs Warn

America’s top intelligence official, James Clapper, listed a “litany of doom” to members of the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee, declaring that “the world is ‘going to hell’.” The heads of the CIA, FBI, NSA, and Defense Intelligence Agency all described ISIS’ increasing influence in the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond.
FBI Chief Comey affirmed that the FBI cannot get into the San Bernardino terrorist’s cell phone. It cannot be emphasized enough– the enormity of a problem that exists when the FBI cannot hack the encryption on a terrorist’s phone.

Worse still Comey testified that FBI agents can’t make headway on their investigations– that in some cases it’s nearly impossible to access communications– because of the “powerful encryption tools” that are “widely available” that terrorists are using.

Terrorists have better encryption tools and hackers than the FBI.

However, perhaps of most interest to hackers, is “the ‘Internet’ of things,” like refrigerators that can be used as “spy tools.”

Clapper remarked that, “In the future, intelligence services might use the [“Internet of Things”] for identification, surveillance, monitoring, location tracking, and targeting for recruitment, or to gain access to networks or user credentials.”
